Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to supplement our income by working at home in our spare time? This dream can be a reality with the aid of the Internet. Part time and full time incomes are being made by thousands all ready. Want a piece of this action? Stick around and learn how even a Joe Average can make money online!

Affiliate Marketing with the Clickbank Network is the best place to start if you are Joe Average or new to Internet Marketing. It is easy to use and you can make some extra money promoting one or more of the over 10,000 digital products available. There are Super Affiliates that make $1000s per day with Clickbank. But don’t be intimidated because making a modest income is possible for anyone(even you know who…). Most Marketer’s first sales are make with the Clickbank Network, guess what, you can make that first sale also!

There is two separate paths to take when promoting your products, or you could do a combination of the two. One is a form of free advertising and works well but takes time and steady maintenance to implement. The other is quick and effective but cost money and if used improperly can lose you money.

The first and the most preferred for starting out is called “Article Marketing” or more affectionately call “Bum Marketing”. The thought is that it is so cheap and easy to do, that any Bum can do it. The truth is that nothing is free and although Bum marketing isn’t expensive it will cost you your time which is valuable and you could wind up wasting your valuable time if you don’t know what you are doing.

The second is Pay-Per-Click advertising or more often called PPC. Major search engines let you bid on specific keywords and then place your relevant ads in front of their search customers on a cost per click basis. You only pay if someone clicks on your ad and is sent to your merchants sales page(or yours if you have one). This is a quick and effective way to launch your advertising campaign but again the downside is if you don’t know what you are doing it could end up costing you hundreds of dollars for “window shoppers” who don’t buy anything.

If you have read this far you probably realize that in both cases there is a need to “know what you are doing”. Isn’t that the case with anything? Everything that you do in life is a learning experience. That learning experience can be sped up by associating with others who are doing the same things. You might even go to a school or college to get good at something. Why should Internet Marketing be any different.

There are quite a few Internet Marketing Schools available that help you get started. Some are better than others so take some time to do some research to see what will work for you. Most charge a monthly membership and you can cancel any time. Others have a one time fee for a lifetime membership. I have seen some pretty good ones in both these categories for very reasonable ($30-$40 per month or $75-$150 lifetime).

If you have no money to start with you have another option. Get a free web page like Squidoo or Hubpages. These are networks or communities of members willing to help each other out. A lot of basic Internet Marketing skills are covered in the articles they have written and you also can view there sites to learn how things are put together.

You are who you associate with, so pick some successful online marketers and read their free articles first to get an idea of which direction you would like to go. So what are you waiting for? Time to get your feet wet… yes you will make some mistakes but remember, without making mistakes you can’t make anything!
